The winner of January’s Awesome Foundation Disability Chapter (#AwesomeDisability) grant is Allysa Dittmar with Suicide Prevention Awareness & Knowledge in ASL!
Visit https://www.awesomefoundation.org/en/projects/247136-suicide-prevention-awareness-knowledge-in-asl to learn more about the project!
What our grantee is saying: “A simple online search shows that there are very few videos on suicide prevention and available resources in American Sign Language (ASL). DeafHealth recognizes this critical gap for the Deaf community, and is grateful for the opportunity to raise more awareness to available and accessible resources, including the 9-8-8 hotline in ASL.”
